New Year is the time when we all love to set resolutions and goals. But sometimes when we get back to the daily habit of things, we tend to put these goals aside and eventually forget about them until next year.

Today I’d like to share three simple tools that I personally like to use to help me stay mindful. I hope these tools can be useful for you as well when you are manifesting your 2018 goals.

Feel free to let me know if you already use any of these tools below and if they have helped you in some way. If you’d like me to share more tools or resources about other areas, feel free to drop me an email.

Please note that I’m not an affiliate nor am I sponsored in any way to share the below tools. These are my honest feedback from my own personal experience.

1- Meditation App:  Headspace

There are so many meditation apps out there nowadays, and I only have experienced Headspace before. I really like Headspace though. This app offers the first 10 basic guided meditation sessions for free, and you can choose the duration of these guided meditation sessions from 3 minutes, 5 minutes or 10 minutes. True to its tagline “Meditation made simple”, it also provides helpful animations to explain the concept of meditation which I really enjoy.

I actually got their book as well called “The Headspace Guide to Meditation and Mindfulness” by Headspace’s founder Andy Puddicombe, and it’s a great read filled with many meditation techniques – the same ones they share in the Headspace app. Also I really like that it’s easy to read and that the author Andy shares his own meditation journey candidly.

You can pay to subscribe to unlock and access their meditation library too. For me, I’m just using those 10 free sessions for the moment.

2 –  Journal: Practice You by Elena Brower

I love journaling, and as you remember I often mention journaling as one of the most affordable tools to learn how to communicate with ourselves honestly and to listen to our Soul’s voice.

Obviously you can buy a journal book anywhere, lined or blank. Recently, I have stumbled upon this instagram post introducing Elena Brower’s journal book called “Practice You”. Just by looking at the image of the cover, I feel somehow resonated with it though. I’m planning to buy it so I haven’t actually used it yet. You can check out her website below and see if you resonate with it too.

If you are one of those people who love beautiful stationary (honestly who doesn’t), you can check out one of my favorite stationary stores: kikki.K for their beautiful journal books.

3 – Meditation & New Age Music: Niall

If you have been to one of my meditation sessions, you would have heard Niall’s music. A lot of our guests also asked me about his music.

I’m absolutely his fan and I bought several of his albums from iTunes. I use his meditation music for my own meditation and classes as well. If you remember my free guided meditation on Youtube: Water Sanctuary Meditation, the background music used is one of Niall’s songs.

Sometimes I would just lie down and listen to his music, and images, emotions, thoughts, and feelings may surface without me actively thinking or trying to do anything.  This is how powerful his music is.

You can sample some of his songs on iTunes or Youtube as well before purchasing. I would recommend buying his music instead of downloading free somewhere to support his work. 🙂

Some of my favorite albums are “”Earth Angels”, “Calling my Angels”, and “Total Serenity”.

Enjoy!
