As you may be aware that Thailand is now mourning the passing of a wonderful King. We would like to inform you a few guidelines during this mourning period:
It is announced that festivities and celebrations organized by the government will be canceled for the next 30 days.
At the moment, some tourist attractions such as Night Bazaar and Weekend Walking Street are now reopened but music entertainment has been suspended. We think that they will be open again perhaps next week, but no dates are announced yet. We will keep you informed. Kindly check with our Reception team for the most updated information.
The government has advised people to wear black to mourn for the King’s passing. For government officials the mourning period is one year. For local people, they may choose to mourn for 30 days. As foreigners who are traveling in Thailand during this period, you are not expected to follow this guideline.
Within Museflower Retreat & Spa, you are in a safe space and you can choose to wear what you want. However, as conscious travelers, you may choose to wear dark-colored clothing, such as black, gray, dark blue, when you go outside to respect other people around you.
It is surely a difficult time and a transitional period for Thailand and its people. Please hold a loving space for our staff and extend your empathy to all Thai people around the world. At this time, there is no need to say much. Simply by holding compassion and love in your heart is enough.
Our job at Museflower Retreat & Spa is to hold a safe and loving space for all who come to stay with us. Follow your heart and do what is natural for you. Everyone mourns in a different way. Kindly leave your judgment and expectations, and use this time to delve within and focus on yourself.
Thank you again for being in Thailand with us during this time.
