30. Path Awareness – If I sincerely ask, I am always guided back to the right path for me and to my central purpose.
2020 was definitely a year of transitions and changes, and with transitions, sometimes we may lose sight of our path.
This card reminds me of walking a labyrinth. Even though there is only one path in and one path out in a labyrinth, sometimes people can still get lost on the path.
Recently during our Winter Magic Week, my friend Susanna Eduini and I facilitated a full moon labyrinth walk at our bamboo forest for our guests in the evening.
For most participants, it was their first time walking the labyrinth, so the darkness of the night added a layer of challenge as they were not familiar with the path nor the surroundings.
Facilitating labyrinth walk in itself is also a spiritual practice, and the many metaphors that jumped out during the walk gave me plenty to reflect. Now I realize these reflections are probably related to the card message for 2021.
It is very easy to be distracted and to lose focus on our path, especially when it is dark all around. We may be distracted by other people’s walk, the desire to take photos of the surroundings, or a subconscious fear of darkness. We may even be distracted by the want to immerse into a social experience and forget to stay in stillness or the expectations of how the experience should be, and we forget to stay focused on our own path.
A week has passed in 2021 already and as we can see, the world doesn’t just change into a bright new place all of the sudden as one may hope. Darkness, pain and suffering are still around and very real to many people.
But where do you put your focus on? Do you focus on the darkness and be lost in the path, or do you choose to focus on the light, no matter how bright or dim it may seem, and walk YOUR path?
The blue color on the side of the woman’s face looks like water to me, and it reminds me of how many spiritual circles point out that we have now entered into the Age of Aquarius. I’m no astrologer to dispute this, but the element of water is definitely present in this card. To me, the element of water is here to cleanse and purify, and it also represents tapping into our emotions, feelings and dreams.
It feels like there is definitely more cleansing and purifying of any repressed, suppressed and oppressed emotions this year. Like waves churning the bottom of the ocean and we see trash floating on the surface, but remember we are the ones who put the trash and waste there at the first place. It’s time to clean up our act.
Focus on your path, your growth and your spiritual journey. Begin or deepen your spiritual practice and a healthy lifestyle to keep yourself grounded. Let go of any expectations of how things should be or used to be.
Embrace any arising emotions and feelings but don’t let them carry you away. Allow the emotions to move through you and to transform, like clouds into water.
Learn to surf the wave. Change is here, and change IS constant. We can either struggle and gasp for air underneath the wave, or learn to surf the wave from the top, enjoy the view and let the wave carry us to go further on our path with ease and grace.
How can we ride the wave on the top then? Ask sincerely, as the message of the card shows. The key is to know who you are asking from.
Ask your spiritual support team. Ask when you need help from your friends and family who truly love you unconditionally. Ask your intuition and listen to what your inner wisdom has to say. Ask your subconscious before you fall asleep and see what dreams come up. Ask the oracle cards and see what messages show up. Ask the Universe.
Then all you need to do is to stay focused on your path. Step forth, and place one foot after another. Keep on walking this labyrinth called Life. Know that you are always guided.

I recognize that my interpretation of the cards is largely based on reflections of my personal life experience and you may or may not resonate with what I share. I find that sometimes by sharing what’s going on in my life, others may find that they are going through something similar in their lives. It’s important to know that you are not going through this journey of life alone.
I highly encourage you to look at the cards as well and feel into the messages and energies of the cards yourself.
Read the messages and notice what sensations come up. Do you feel light or tense? Look at the images of the cards, and notice what draws your gaze. What thoughts and feelings arise? Do you like or dislike the card, or certain elements in the image of the card? Why is that and what does it remind you of?
Your intuition is your inner compass. My intuitive soul card reading only serves as a reference point, an invitation for you to reflect and ponder and to work your magic. I don’t claim to predict the future, nor can I do that. Take what you resonate and leave what you don’t.
Card reading is a great intuitive tool for us to find some clarity and guidance in our own life, but remember ultimately you are the one who get to decide and live the life you want.
Enjoy reading and feel free to let me know your thoughts, questions and sharing by email.
