Welcome to the first lunar cycle card reading for 2021!
As you can see, I’m changing things up a bit. Instead of focusing on the month as the first day to the last day of a calendar month, I want to go with the lunar cycle instead. I think that perhaps this can help me (and maybe others) to be more in tuned with the rhythm of the lunar cycles.
In the last couple weeks of 2020, as I was getting in touch with my inner guide to help me plan out the new year, I have picked a card for each lunar cycle as a monthly theme. The monthly theme will serve as the anchor for our new online wellness project called “12 Cycles of Soulful Magic”.
The purpose of the “12 Cycles of Soulful Magic” is to help you connect with your inner light through meditations, mindful movements, conscious living tips, honing into your intuition, online learning and virtual workshops.
I will include the theme in my lunar cycle card reading, and will pick a couple more cards to help give a better overview on how the monthly theme may possibly unfold for all of us.
PS: Sorry for the late reading. Well as life unfolds, I was down with a stomach bug at the beginning of this month’s lunar cycle. I could only listen to my body, be patient and let go. Of course the Universe always has a better plan. Through resting and recovery the key message of this lunar cycle came through very clearly for me, and I had more clarity on our “12 Cycles of Soulful Magic” project. All in the right timing. 🙂
- Boundaries – My clear boundaries allow me to protect myself, nurture my intentions, and follow my true self.
When I first picked this card I was like what? Was the Universe asking us to let go of our boundaries? You’re joking right? In this day and age?
Then as I stayed with the card a bit longer, I had more intuitive information coming through.
In this case, we are being asked to let go of “boundaries” that we impose on ourselves, the defensive walls that we put up to push away even the best intentions in order to protect ourselves. The part of us that resists change, and wants to stay in the comfort zone.
Perhaps this “bound” comes as an old habit. You know it’s not a great habit (or worse, it’s damaging your health in some way), and it’s time to let it go.
Perhaps this “bound” comes as a limiting belief, the way how you judge yourself and others. You know that it is not serving you anymore, and it’s time to transform these limiting beliefs into positive affirmations.
Perhaps this “bound” comes as control. It’s time to loosen your grip and to allow yourself to dream big and to nurture those dream seeds.
Perhaps the “bound” comes as a way of how you see things. We know we shouldn’t judge the book by its cover but we still do. So it’s time to shift your perspective to see with your heart instead of your mind.
Whatever “bound” you know you need to let go of, take it one small step at a time. When one piece is loosened up like in a Jenga puzzle, the rest will crumble, sooner or later.
What is the one “bound” you know that it’s time to let go of in order to create your life with a better vision?
Take 10 minutes today to write down your reflections in your journal without judgment or editing. Then take one small step today to help you start letting go.
- In the Flow – When I am in the flow, magic happens.
Imagine a stream of water that is all blocked up by a pile of rocks. The water will get stuck and form a stagnant pond. Or the water finds its way to leak to the sides until the stream becomes dry. That’s what happens when we are not in the flow.
In the previous card we are shown that we need to let go of these “bounds” we created that tie our hands up for no reason other than fear (or shame, guilt, grief, anger, etc).
Once we start to remove a rock from the pile that is blocking the stream, the pile will start to loosen up. Water can start to flow through again. And in order to be in the flow, we must create the optimal conditions.
1. Set an intention for the new year / month with identifying your own keyword of the year, or find your theme song for the year. There is no right or wrong way to do this. You can do it through journaling, contemplation, walking in nature (or labyrinth), or meditation. Once you have your word for the year, you can create art with it, write it anywhere you want, place it on your altar, or even make it as a screensaver on your phone as a reminder.
2. Create your vision mandala to express your intention in a visual form. Vision mandala is a fun and relaxing way to uncover how your intention may unfold by tuning into your inner guidance.
I am happy to announce that I have created my first online course here which is all about making a vision mandala. “Making a Vision Mandala” online course will be available starting from February 1st, 2021. Sign up for our newsletter to be the first one to know here.
3. Hold the vision of a better YOU in your mind’s eye. What does a better version of YOU look like? Visualize or use your other senses to really get a sense of this better YOU. You can do this before you fall asleep, at the beginning of the day when you wake up, when you are commuting or waiting in line, during meditation, or any time that suits you. The more we can engage our vision to come alive in our imagination, the more possible it becomes as a reality.
Want to create your vision magic together? Come join our free online community event this month to experience the magic of finger labyrinth together. Our free online community event is coming up this month called “A Walk In Wonderland – Finding Your Path to Your Vision with Finger Labyrinth”.
Do you want to have more clarity for the new year?
Labyrinth is a spiritual tool for transformation. Walking the labyrinth with our soles or hands can quiet our mind, open our heart and ground our body. As an ancient symbol that relates to wholeness, the labyrinth is a metaphor for life’s journey where you can journey into your deepest center, and return to the world with a broader understanding of yourself.
Whether you already have your word for the year 2021, or you haven’t had time to set an intention for the new year, our online finger labyrinth walk can help you find clarity on your path and focus to new dreams that you would like to nurture for 2021.

I recognize that my interpretation of the cards is largely based on reflections of my personal life experience and you may or may not resonate with what I share. I find that sometimes by sharing what’s going on in my life, others may find that they are going through something similar in their lives. It’s important to know that you are not going through this journey of life alone.
I highly encourage you to look at the cards as well and feel into the messages and energies of the cards yourself.
Read the messages and notice what sensations come up. Do you feel light or tense? Look at the images of the cards, and notice what draws your gaze. What thoughts and feelings arise? Do you like or dislike the card, or certain elements in the image of the card? Why is that and what does it remind you of?
Your intuition is your inner compass. My intuitive soul card reading only serves as a reference point, an invitation for you to reflect and ponder and to work your magic. I don’t claim to predict the future, nor can I do that. Take what you resonate and leave what you don’t.
Card reading is a great intuitive tool for us to find some clarity and guidance in our own life, but remember ultimately you are the one who get to decide and live the life you want.
Enjoy reading and feel free to let me know your thoughts, questions and sharing by email.
