“Surrender to what is. Say ‘yes’ to life —
and see how life suddenly starts working for you rather than against you.”
- Surrendering – I honor the truth in surrender as it opens me to gifts of divine grace.
When I first saw the card I picked, I laughed. My mind immediately jumped in and thought, “If I want to make things happen in my life, surrender definitely is not what I’m looking for.”
But the card is showing me that the Universe always has a better plan for us than we can possibly imagine. It is the plan for our highest good.
When the darkest of the dark night arrives, can you notice the shimmers of light from the billions of stars shining and radiating?
We can either struggle to make things happen the way we want, or let go of control and surrender to the Universe and let life happen for us.
It definitely feels like there will be some twists and turns coming up in this upcoming lunar cycle, perhaps something unexpected that may throw us off balance.
This card is asking us not to fear the unexpected. In fact, welcome the change with open arms, grace, trust and faith.
The woman in the card has her eyes closed. She is turning inward to connect with her inner wisdom and the image of the staff reminds me of healing. Healing is arising whether we want it or not. Actually, it is happening now because the Universe knows that our soul is ready, and it’s time to heal ourselves in order to step into wholeness again.
I remember a message from Collette Baron-Reid’s oracle card deck “Wisdom of the Oracle” where she wrote “Rejection is God’s protection.”
If things are not going the way that you have hoped for, know that it is not meant to be. Know that it is the Universe’s way to protect you.

“My surrender is not an act of defeat or a denial of my needs but an act of healing and an opening to divine grace. This grace bestows many gifts – joy, patience, compassion, strength, courage and, of course, a stronger connection to the limitless flow of love.”
Whenever I see the “Surrender” card, I am reminded to slow down again. Instead of taking up too much on my plate and trying to do everything by myself, I am reminded that I do not need to carry all the burdens and responsibilities myself.
When a challenge, obstacle, or fear surfaces, it’s time to ask our guardian angels, archangels, spirit guides, power animals, Mother Earth, ascended masters, the Universe and any of your spiritual support team members to come help.
All we need to do is ask, and allow divine grace to flow through. Since we are all given free will, our spiritual support team cannot come help us unless we ask them to. They are always standing by our side and they want to help. No matter how small or huge the task or question seems to be, nothing is too minute. Our spiritual support team has so much love for us, and they only want the best for us as we are experiencing this life on Earth.
Allow the Universe to show you how to proceed. Sometimes the answer may not be what we want. Sometimes we need to be patient and wait. This is all part of the surrendering process.
Use this time to deepen your commitment and devotion to your spiritual practice and to the Divine (or however you call the bigger presence and Infinite Intelligence that is surrounding us all). Our spiritual practice is what keeps us anchored and safe in a harbour no matter what storm is going on around us.
Engage in a prayer practice if you don’t have one already. By praying, we acknowledge that we don’t have the answers to everything. It’s okay not to know what to do, and how incredibly freeing it is to remember this!
Honor and respect the Great Mystery of Life that is surrounding us. Surrendering is truly the way of allowing the Universe to co-create our lives with us.
A prayer practice does not need to be affiliated with any religion. It is your unique way of communication to the bigger presence that is around us (or you can call it Divine, Source, Universe, Great Spirit, God, Goddess, Nature, or any name you resonate with).
As we surrender, we allow ourselves to experience the gush of unconditional love from the Universe.
Repeat this affirmation as often as you need during this lunar cycle. You can always change up the words of the affirmation to make it work for you.
For example,
I surrender to the truth of the Universe.
I surrender to Divine Grace.
I surrender all my plans to the Creator.
I surrender my fear of the unknown to the Divine.
I surrender my healing to God.
I recognize that my interpretation of the cards is largely based on reflections of my personal life experience and you may or may not resonate with what I share. I find that sometimes by sharing what’s going on in my life, others may find that they are going through something similar in their lives. It’s important to know that you are not going through this journey of life alone.
I highly encourage you to look at the cards as well and feel into the messages and energies of the cards yourself.
Read the messages and notice what sensations come up. Do you feel light or tense? Look at the images of the cards, and notice what draws your gaze. What thoughts and feelings arise? Do you like or dislike the card, or certain elements in the image of the card? Why is that and what does it remind you of?
Your intuition is your inner compass. My intuitive soul card reading only serves as a reference point, an invitation for you to reflect and ponder and to work your magic. I don’t claim to predict the future, nor can I do that. Take what you resonate and leave what you don’t.
Card reading is a great intuitive tool for us to find some clarity and guidance in our own life, but remember ultimately you are the one who get to decide and live the life you want.
